Chewy Pumpkin Spice Dog Treats 🎃

Updated: Oct 21, 2024

SERVINGS: 6

Serving size 2 treats

Ingredients-

  • 1 Banana

  • 1 large spoonful of Plain Greek Yogurt**

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger*

  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree*

  • 2 cups Oat Flour*

Directions-

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Start by placing your peeled banana in a medium sized bowl along with a large spoonful of greek yogurt. Mash them together using a fork until you get a mixture which looks like baby food. Add in an egg, cinnamon, ginger, and pumpkin puree. Mix these ingredients well, until smooth. Next add in the oat flour, I added it in one cup at a time. Once the flour is mixed in, use your hands to roll the dough into a ball. Now let’s spray a flat surface with oil, as well as a cookie sheet. Place your ball of dough on the flat surface and roll it out until about 1/2 an inch thick. Using cookie cutters make cute little shapes in the dough and place each one onto the prepared cookie sheet. Depending on the size of your cookie cutters it will make about 12 treats. Bake in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes. Let cool for another 7-10 minutes, then treat your pup to a special fall treat!

Notes-

  • I just plopped in one big scoop of yogurt, but probably around 3Tbs if you want to be exact.

  • Also Make sure that you use Plain Greek yogurt that does not contain any artificial flavoring or sweeteners.

  • Do not use regular Pumpkin Pie Seasoning as it may contain spices that are harmful to pets such as Nutmeg.

  • Make sure to check the ingredients in your can of pumpkin, it should be only one ingredient: Pumpkin.

  • If you don’t have oat flour, don’t worry! It is very simple to make. Just blend two cups of oats in a blender or food processor.

  • Comment below if you have any questions or suggestions, and feel free to share how yours turned out! I’d love to see photos of your pup!
