Simple Halloween Candy Dump Cookies 🍪

SERVINGS

Makes around 21 cookies

Ingredients-

  • 2 sticks butter, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 - 1 1/2 cups leftover halloween candy chopped*

Directions-

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray 2 cookie sheets with cooking oil, then set aside.

2. In a large bowl whisk together the butter and both sugars until fully combined.

3. Beat in the vanilla, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and eggs until light and fluffy.

4. Slowly add the flour 1 cup at a time. You may need to use your hands for the third cup of flour. However, if you prefer not to, you can use a dough mixer like this one from amazon, as using a regular whisk will get dough stuck in it. Fold the dough until all the flour is fully incorporated, but make sure to not over mix.

6. Next, chop up your Halloween candies and toss them in!

7. Using your hands or an ice cream scooper, place balls of dough onto your prepared cookie sheets.

8. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still a bit soft. They will firm up as they cool.

9. Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve with a glass of milk if desired, enjoy!

Notes-

  • Any halloween candy will work, however I recommend using chocolate candies like Snickers, M&M’s, Reese’s, Twix, Kit Kat, etc,. (you can also add chocolate chips, pretzels, marshmallows, or crushed Oreos)

  • I weighed the dough, to size each cookie at 2.2oz, however that step is optional, you may just eyeball it.

  • Store cookies in an airtight container on the countertop or in a cool dry place for 5-7 days.

  • Comment below if you have any questions or suggestions, and feel free to share how your’s turned out! I’d love to see photos as well!
