Quick Homemade Pizza recipe (No wait dough)

SERVINGS: 8

Makes 8 large slices

Ingredients-

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1 packet yeast

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 cup milk, warmed

  • +2 cups flour

  • Olive oil (for greasing)

  • 2 Tbs corn meal

  • Italian seasoning*

  • Marinara sauce

  • Choice toppings (cheese, pepperoni, veggies, etc.,)

Directions-

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water with a packet of yeast. Whisk until bubbles start to form, then let it sit for a few minutes.

3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, add the flour and salt, and give them a light whisk to combine.

4. Pour the water and yeast mixture into the large bowl of flour. Next, heat 1 cup of milk in the microwave until it’s just warm to the touch—warm enough for your finger but not hot. Add the milk to the bowl as well.

5. Switching to a sturdy mixer —I recommend a dough mixer like this one from amazon It works really well and I’ve had mine for years!— Mix the dough until well combined. Slowly adding in the the last two cups of flour.

6. Drizzle olive oil over a large pizza pan, then grease your clean hands with olive oil as well. Pick up the dough, knead it a few times, then spread it out evenly on the pan.

7. Sprinkle cornmeal over the crust for extra texture and crunch, then add seasonings, sauce, cheese, and any toppings you like.

8. Bake for 27 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust turns golden brown. Let cool for 15 minutes, then slice and enjoy!

Notes-

  • If you don’t have Italian seasoning you can use a mix of parsley, basil, thyme, rosemary, or sage.
